CHOW CHOW

Chow Chow

Servings : 300

2 gallons green tomatoes
1/2 gallon sweet pepper
12 hot peppers
12 medium onions
1/2 gallon vinegar
2 medium cabbage head
1 cup pickling spice
1 1/2 cups salt
1 1/2 cups sugar

Chop tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, onions and cabbage and mix together. Work in salt and put in cloth bag and let drain for thirty minutes. Put vinegar, sugar and spices into pot and bring to boil. Add chopped mixture and cook until cabbage is done and it has boiled down. Can in jars.
